Pick-up From the city of Bari (at the station or where you’re staying) to get to the city of Matera and start your tour.

Arrival at Matera, a city famous worldwide for the Rioni Sassi and for being the European Capital of Culture 2019. Among the alleys, hidden churches and cave houses you can immerse yourself in the history and culture of the place, since this ancient heart is full of life and can make anyone live a wonderful adventure.

The itinerary will be as follows:

• Departure from our Agency (via A. Volta n. 3/5);
• A short stop in piazza San Francesco, in front of the Church;
• Arrival at the highest point of the city, the Civita, where you are in front of the Cathedral;
• Panoramic road composed of narrow streets and winding alleys to reach via dei Fiorentini;
• Rupestrian Church of Sant’Antonio Abate;
• Casa Grotta traditionally furnished;
• Via Madonna delle Virtù and Porta Pistoia, “Pert P’stel”, where there is a widening, the meeting point between Sasso Barisano and Sasso Caveoso; – History of the Church of San Pietro Caveoso;
