A journey to discover Mediterranean flavors, in order to know the huge wine and food heritage that Basilicata offers. Most of all, wine production has always been one of the distinguishing characteristics of the Region, once called Enotria, that “Wine land”. Lucanian wine production dates back as far as 1300 B.C., also becoming a unifying element of different cultures.
The wine of the Matera area, in particular, has managed to maintain, thanks to the consistently very high quality of the product, the Denomination of Controlled Origin (DOC) from 2005 until today. All the Lucanian wines are produced in the region, following a very strict specification regarding the techniques for grape cultivation and processing of must into wine in typical wooden barrels.
Our tour will give you the chance to know deeply the Lucanian wine world. Our guests will walk among vineyard, coming into contact with nature. They will touch grape with their own hands and they will enter into the cellars to smell the scents of wine not yet ready. The visit is followed by a tasting of the wines produced in the company, accompanied with a buffet of typical local products, such as taralli, cured meats and various cheeses.

The visitor will also have the chance to participate to cooking courses organized by the company and to know all the secrets linked to the production of one of the symbols of the region: the PGI Bread of Matera. There is a wide range of offerings, including fresh pasta and dairy processing courses.
