Grape harvest experience in Grottole

The Vendemmia experience in Grottole, a small village in the province of Matera,is a unique experience in which the authenticity of a small village and the beauty of its land are intertwined. This experience will allow you to discover not only the art of grape harvesting and its anecdotes through the eyes of the local community, but also the culture of an authentic Lucanian village.

In detail:

After the welcome and accommodation in the WonderCasa or one of the b&b’s in the historic center, the first day you will immerse yourself in the culture of the village as you stroll through its streets and countryside, particularly olive fields, learning about stories, anecdotes and details that have made the local community come alive over the centuries. The second day will be devoted entirely to the Grape Harvest Experience: you will travel to neighboring vineyards to harvest the fruit of an entire year’s work, the grapes, learn about their types and savor their taste. The harvest experience has, thus, begun: you cut and pick and then head, late in the morning, with the now ripe grapes to the cellars, ancient caves carved out of the rock once used as dwellings and, today, useful for making wine. The experience will end with traditional grape crushing and then be completed with a tasting of typical products offered by the local community.

THE FEE INCLUDES:
