- Chiesa Rupestre Madonna delle Grazie: Located in the Sasso Caveoso, the church is one of the examples of rocky places of worship within the Rioni Sassi. Its history is one of the longest, as it was among the last to be closed to worship.
- Casa Grotta “Once upon a time”: an architectural testimony to the millennia-old peasant civilization, the Casa Grotta Narrante, consists of several rooms where it is possible to relive through memories and preserved objects customs and traditions of that culture that has long remained on the margins of society.
- Chiesa Rupestre di Sant’Antonio Abate: Located in the Sasso Barisano, the small church is part of the circuit of rock churches. Excavated in the rock, it is built according to the typical local building tradition in which the front part is made in the rocky bank and the built part is made of load-bearing masonry of local calcarenite.
- Museum of San Giorgio: A rock site that, in its 40-meter depth , covers 1,000 years of Matera’s history. The ancient church of San Giorgio al Paradiso first gave way to an oil mill in the 1700s and a wine cellar for crushing grapes and storing barrels. The water reclamation system can be seen with its intact canals and cisterns plastered with earthenware.
