Pick-up from the city of Matera (at Agenzia Martulli – via Volta n. 3/5 – or where you’re staying) to reach the city of Altamura and start your tour.
Arrival in Altamura, and meeting with the guide in the historic center, from where the tour of the cloisters and strictulis, urban elements typical of the old town. The visit continues with the majestic Frederick cathedral, founded in 1232 by the emperor himself. Everything ends with the entrance to one of the wood-burning ovens to know the secrets of Altamura’s bread.

Departure for Gravina in Puglia; once arrived you will visit the Cathedral of the Assumption, wanted by the Norman Alfredo D’Altavilla, continuing with the visit of the Museum of “Cola-Cola” (free admission). The tour continues through Piazza Benedetto XIII and Piazza Notar Domenico, from where you can visit the Church of Purgatory, the Finia Library and the Four Fountains. Walk through the two medieval districts of the city. Route through the streets of the historic center to the Bridge Viaduct Aqueduct Madonna della Stella, where you can admire the caves.
Meet up again with your driver and return to Matera.
